"Mr. Grimmbros, what's become of you? Consorting with trolls? This isn’t the Mr. Grimmbros I remember," remarked the elf again. Grimmbros sniffed a little more and turned away to a dark corner and stood almost motionless, his brows knitted deep in thought. Perhaps he was secretly hoping that the little field elf would just go away.
“Mr Grimmbros, I know you’re listening. I know you shouldn’t be here. What’s become of you sir?”
“It’s complicated.”
“It always is, but that’s what makes you different from the rest of us. You are a champion and champions always find a way. You can beat this sir. I know you can. I know you are more than this.”
The elf spoke with sincerity. It was a quality that Grimmbros had always respected and for thisreason, the little elf seemed to be reaching Grimmbros at some unknown level.
